Happiness Is...

not a destination. It is a method of life. (Burton Hills). I really enjoyed painting this little guy... and the little smile on his face (beak?) is a happy little accident in the way the paint went on the paper. I'm not complaining though. That's one of the joys of watercolour painting... the little accidents that occur when paint goes on paper. Those, and the water blossoms (what happens when water/colour is dropped onto almost dry pigment) are my two favourite things about watercolour.
