White Tulip - Work in Progress

Needed a break from all the water drops... and my walls were looking a little bare, so I have started a new 'larger' painting. The first black and white layer is almost complete, then I'll be adding the colour.

Not quite done... but getting there. A few more water drops (or more than just a few), a bit more detail with the leaf veins and I think I just might be done. Soon...

Water drops... continued

Its been one of those weeks where life got in the way and I just did not find myself doing much painting. Though I did manage to (finally) get back to the easel last night (yah!). Continuing work on this still life, though taking a break from all the water drops to start working on the background. I just love how the colours pop!

A Million Waterdrops....

Well, okay, maybe not a million water drops but there are sure a lot of them. I am making progress on this painting, though painting all the water drops do take a little longer to paint. I am loving the colours, so far only using three: titanium-zinc white, transparent red earth, and quinacridone gold.

untitled... water drops on a leaf...

What better way to spend a very rainy March day than at the easel painting! Trying out a photograph taken by a friend... and lovin' painting all the water drops.
