Wood Duck Drake - WIP, Step 5

Starting work on some of the details today, specifically around the mid body of the duck (between the gold and black).  Slow and steady...

Wood Duck Drake - WIP, Step 4

I am slowly regaining my strength and comfort levels (its been one week since surgery) and I am just starting to get comfortable enough to sit up so I can do some painting.

I have started working on the reflection of the duck, which is actually the part of the original reference photo that attracted me to it.  The reflections is looking pretty good and I am happy with the way it is turning out.

Sweet Pea

Life has been a little... well, none productive this last week.  I had surgery earlier this week and now I am at home recuperating.  That basically means... no work, no lifting, and not too much moving.  So, in other words, I can do lots of painting!  This is my first painting since I have returned home and for the life of me I don't remember who took this reference photo of this one.  If anyone recognizes it, please let me know so I can properly credit the photographer.

Looking Ahead - Bird #56

Just a quick little painting today. Haven't had much time for painting the last couple of weeks (between work and winterizing the yard). I hope to resume some what more regular posts and paintings in the near future.
