Buddy, Completed Painting

I just finished this little guy tonight so I suppose he is no longer a 'work in progress'. Yah! I used six colours in the body of the bird: zinc-titanium white, chromatic black, ultramarine blue, raw sienna, and burnt sienna. For the tree branch... I also used transparent earth red to get a more 'branchy' like colour.

Once again, I would like to thank blmiers2 (Barbara) over at flickr! for giving me permission to use her (and hers son's) photographs for inspiration.

I actually did finish another little painting tonight.... but, show and tell on that one is going to have to wait. It is a surprise for someone. I'll post it when it is recieved.
