Warm Summer Evening

Fresh off the easel tonight (hence the glare in the photo... wet oil paint)! I just finished this guy... and he is a bit bigger than my normal size. I painted him on 6" x 4" acrylic gessoed canvas paper.

I'm really happy with the way he turned out and I am especially happy with the way the branch turned out. I think I found my new favourite brown... transparent earth red.
