Swallow, WIP

I've begun a new painting tonight... one that I have been meaning to do for a little while ago. This is a new bird for me and I do believe it will be a challenge... I haven't yet attempted an iridescent look using oil paints yet. With acrylics I usually apply an iridescent paint in the final layers, but with the oil paints I don't have such a paint with me. So... a combination of blues, yellows, and whites should be able to allow me to make a nice shiny feathery look.
