Wise One - Bird #11

Happily finished this one tonight and on to the next. I'm really happy with this way this owl turned out and I think I am starting to figure out this Aquabord (I have 8 more 4 x 4's to play with). I've kept my palette fairly simple for this painting... in some ways. I used pretty much every Daniel Smith brown I own, indigo blue, and new gamboge (also both Daniel Smith watercolour paints).

Great job on the feathers and the eyes are terrific too. I will have to pull out my aquaboard and give it another try.

Hi Vicki! My first two paintings on the aquabord didn't turn out as nice as I hoped... but I've gotten use to how the paint works on them now. I have to say that I find the board a lot of fun to use. Might just have to buy some more.
