Journey Home - Work in Progress

I didn't get as much studio time this weekend... been busy canning and getting the fall gardening done. Though, I did manage to start a new sunset painting (based off a photo on a drive home on fall evening last year). It is not the greatest photo (some of the subtle colour seemed to have been lost), but I will post a better photograph when I get a bit more done. Unlike my last sunset painting, I will be doing this one in a couple stages. Today I blocked in the major colours and then when this layer is pretty much dry I will glaze in some of the cloud structures. Stay tuned!
